About The Position
At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Process Engineer Intern based in Minster, OH. The Process Engineer Intern supports the Operations team in improving manufacturing processes, analyzing performance data, and assisting in problem-solving efforts. This role provides hands-on experience in equipment optimization, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with line teams and engineering leadership.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field required)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Interest in manufacturing, operations, or process improvement
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and analyzing process losses and inefficiencies on production lines
- Support the development and implementation of process improvements and standardization initiatives
- Participate in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings and help track key performance metrics
- Collaborate with line leaders and frontline teams to maintain and improve operating standards
- Help collect, analyze, and interpret process and equipment data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Support troubleshooting activities and root cause analysis for process failures
- Assist in maintaining documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process control strategies
- Participate in change management and validation activities for process improvements
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects related to quality, safety, and efficiency
- Assist in training materials preparation and knowledge sharing activities
- Support planned stops, changeovers, and Clean-In-Place (CIP) optimization activities
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies while on the production floor
