About The Position

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR company, is hiring a Process Engineer Intern to join its Cab Trim team in Denton, Texas. The intern will work on projects involving process layout efficiency, material defect analysis, paint-flow enhancements, and plant assembly processes, as well as other special projects as they arise.

Requirements

Be currently enrolled in an Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related program.

Nice To Haves

Excellent technical, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Proven problem-solving skills.
At least three years of manufacturing experience, demonstrating process and product knowledge.
Ability to work in a self-directed environment.
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering.
Six Sigma training.

Responsibilities

Conduct time and efficiency studies on the layout process to improve throughput and reduce labor.
Analyze incoming material defects and recommend improvements to material flow.
Develop paint-flow enhancements to accommodate higher volumes and operation of both 2.1MBuild cells.
Study and analyze plant assembly processes.
Develop and document plant assembly processes.
Address special projects as they arise.
