About The Position

SiteOne Landscape Supply is seeking a Process Documentation Intern for the Fall Semester. This role is responsible for coordinating an audit and improvement of the existing library of operational procedures. The intern will facilitate the review, edit, and approval process for existing procedures with internal subject matter experts, identify knowledge gaps, edit copy for clarity and consistency, draft new procedure documentation, and publish content to the internal intranet/knowledge base. This position offers an opportunity to work with subject matter experts on various field support teams, improving the quality of operational reference material used by field associates. As a member of the Operational Excellence team, the intern will assist in drafting and updating process documentation, maintain documentation for accuracy, clarity, and consistency, partner with SMEs to gather information, identify process improvement opportunities, contribute to training materials, align documentation with business goals, support operational efficiency, and assist with potential migration of process documentation to new platforms.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Interest in process improvement, content development, and operational excellence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate across teams.
  • Comfortable communicating with subject matter experts via phone, email, and chat.
  • Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (sponsorship not provided).

  • Relevant coursework, academic projects, or internship experience in writing, content creation, or documentation is a plus, but not required.
  • SEO fundamentals (keyword research, search intent, content strategy).
  • Aligning content to business goals and target audience personas.
  • Analytics and performance tracking; using engagement data to inform improvements.
  • Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe, PowerPoint).
  • Project coordination and stakeholder collaboration, including incorporating feedback.
  • Familiarity with AI tools used thoughtfully for grammar, tone, and consistency.
