Process Development Engineer
About The Position
The Process Development Engineer will develop and manage small to medium size projects, prepare budgets and timelines, and make recommendations on capital budget and research projects. This role involves formulating corrective action reports based on testing and research, recommending and implementing design or process changes, and researching new processes, operations, and manufacturing equipment. The engineer will also develop, set up, and test new equipment and processes, use computer software for reporting, and maintain relationships with outside suppliers. Additionally, this position will assist in training Associate Engineers, Manufacturing Specialists, and Technicians.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in the applied technical area.
- Demonstrated Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Knowledge of AX operating system a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage small to medium size projects and report on their progress.
- Prepare budgets and timelines for assigned projects.
- Assemble meetings on assigned projects.
- Make recommendations on capital budget projects and research projects.
- Formulate corrective action reports based on testing and research.
- Recommend and implement design and/or process changes as approved.
- Research new processes, operations, and manufacturing equipment.
- Develop, set up, and test new equipment and processes.
- Use computer and necessary software to write reports.
- Develop spreadsheets, charts, tables, and graphs to support reports.
- Maintain contact and working relations with outside suppliers on assigned projects.
- Help train and instruct Associate Engineers, Manufacturing Specialists, and Technicians.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
