Grace is seeking a Process Controls Engineer to join our Maintenance team at our Pasadena, TX manufacturing site! This role reports to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager onsite. The Process Controls Engineer position is responsible for sitewide process control applications and systems, including the site’s DCS and PLC systems and some aspects of the site’s Enterprise Historian. Tasks include programming, maintenance, security, backups, documentation, upgrades and new installations of plant and lab control systems regarding computer hardware, software, networking, and all other aspects of process control. The position allows flexible 9/80 work schedule. Requirements

B.S. Degree in an Engineering discipline.
7-10 years experience and knowledge of the design, selection, and application of process control equipment such as level, pressure, flow, temperature, analytical, speed, weight, control valve, low voltage power equipment (breakers, relays, starters, transformers, VFD, etc)
Strong technical and problem-solving skills, failure analysis, and maintenance. Must be able to understand and interpret technical material. Must be able to solve problems quickly, completely, accurately, and to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
Good communication skills at all levels of the organization, ability to work in a team environment, self-motivated and able to work alone and accomplish responsibilities with only general direction.
Must pay attention to details, and follow high standards for accuracy and completeness, and accept constructive criticism from coworkers.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SAP Maintenance.
Experience with Allen-Bradley, Modicon PLC and Emerson Delta V control systems.
PSM (Process Safety Management) and SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems).

Responsibilities

Support All plant & Lab Instrument and Control systems such as Yokogawa, Rockwell, Modicon and Delta V Software.
Network administrator as it pertains to the process control systems including troubleshooting.
Maintain backup systems and security systems for Servers, Workstations and controllers.
Program, configure, test and troubleshoot applications.
Support site’s alarm compliance as it pertains to process control systems; provide DCS alarm reports and guidance.
Drive cost reduction efforts, when possible, for DCS and PLC equipment.
Analyze existing instrumentation and requirements; determine if the selected equipment is the best available for the intended application.
Plant I&E support as needed.
Order parts and service for projects and repairs of equipment as needed; maintain a system of critical spare parts.
Install and maintain UPS systems for DCS equipment.
Experience with SAP Maintenance.
Monitor and Maintain Plant MOC system for DCS/Instrument/Electrical changes and documentation.
Coordinate with contractors for onsite DCS work
Provide Controls/Instrument/Electrical SME support for capital projects
Support turnaround I&E scope development and repairs as needed
Support and maintain the historian systems as it relates to process control.
