About The Position

Perform quality system audits to evaluate compliance to ISO 9001 & AS9100, customer and regulatory requirements, as well as TPG policies and procedures. This role involves auditing manufacturing and inspection activities, process records, and product/process compliance against written specifications, policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices. The supervisor will also verify employee awareness of quality policy, objectives, and ethics, coordinate internal audits, ensure audit findings are communicated and tracked, perform supplier audits, review procedures and records for adequacy, report noncompliances, support external audits, identify process improvement opportunities, and evaluate training effectiveness. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in the English language in both written and oral form
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish language also required
  • Must have experience and be capable to read technical documents; drawings, specifications, manuals
  • Must be computer literate, to include MS Office
  • Must have strong communication and decision making skills
  • Ability to self-manage and set priorities with demonstrated follow-through skills
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards
  • Compliance with all personnel policies
  • Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Temporary Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with for an ISO 9001/AS9100 certified company preferred
  • Experience in quality management system auditing required

Responsibilities

  • Perform audits to manufacturing and inspection activities in order to evaluate compliance with work instructions, related reference documents, and manufacturing aids
  • Perform audits to process records in order to evaluate compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Audit compliance of product and processes against written specifications, policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Perform audits to verify employee’s awareness of quality policy, quality objectives, and ethics of business conduct
  • Coordinate and schedule the internal audits with Department Heads
  • Ensure audit findings are properly communicated to management team and appropriately tracked through remediation
  • Perform supplier audits to identify compliance gaps
  • Review procedures and records for their adequacy to accomplish intended objectives
  • Report process noncompliances to Quality System Director and Department Heads
  • Support on-site audits conducted by external parties
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in any process of the quality system
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and identify training needs
