About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining workflows using native Jira Service Management (JSM), Jira and Confluence tools and APIs to streamline processes, integrate systems, and reduce manual work, requiring skills in scripting (Python/REST), API integration, system administration, and collaboration with technical and non-technical teams to drive efficiency and support AI/ML initiatives. The role is focused on leveraging automation to improve teamwork and operational clarity. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications in a fast-paced, agile environment. The candidate is expected to have at least 3-5 years of experience.

Requirements

Proven experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and data transformation.
Scripting (Python/PowerShell) and integration tool experience.
Problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices, Tech Ops/Technical Support, ITIL, DevOps, CI/CD, and enterprise IT environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through ambiguity to define clear solutions.

Responsibilities

Creating complex automation rules (triggers, conditions, actions) for JSM, Jira, and Confluence.
Connecting Atlassian products with external tools (Slack, Teams, Salesforce) using webhooks and APIs.
Using Python, PowerShell, or REST APIs for custom automation and integrations.
Configuring Atlassian and related products (workflows, fields, permissions) for optimal automation.
Partnering with product owners, engineers, and business teams to identify needs and deliver solutions.
Troubleshooting issues, managing defects, and ensuring system performance.
The performance of additional responsibilities if you are designated as a Data Protection Champion (DPC), Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) or Information Assurance Accounting Officer (IAAO).
