Process Analytical Support - Separations Scientist
About The Position
The Process Analytical Support - Separations Scientist performs routine cGMP testing of samples for biopharmaceutical clients in a BSL-2 laboratory. Testing may include HPLC, SEC, CE-SDS, cIEF, MDI/MFI, GC, UV-VIS spectroscopy (A280 and SoloVPE), oligosaccharide mapping, turbidity, and/or osmolality. The role includes conducting analyses and reporting data in electronic notebooks in accordance with departmental requirements, applying GMP/GLP as appropriate, training other analysts, troubleshooting assay or instrumentation problems, and meeting quality and productivity metrics while demonstrating strong client service, teamwork, and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related science, such as chemistry, pharmacy, or an equivalent science discipline.
- Prior work experience in a GMP laboratory.
- Prior experience with separations techniques, including chromatography or capillary electrophoresis.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cGMP testing of biopharmaceutical client samples using applicable analytical methods.
- Conduct analyses and report data in electronic notebooks according to departmental requirements.
- Apply GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate.
- Provide training for other analysts.
- Demonstrate strong client service, teamwork, and collaboration.
- Meet quality and productivity metrics.
- Troubleshoot assay or instrumentation problems.
