Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support AHS BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
Responsibilities
- Performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse.
- Performs a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s).
- Inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment, positioning patients, and patient preparation for procedure.
- Assists with case cart preparation if needed.
- Assists in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment.
- Transports patients as required.
- Functions as an integral member of the operating room team and contributes to maintaining a safe, professional, respectful and effective patient care environment.
