About The Position

The Procedure Coordinator - Electrophysiology is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patients for procedures. This role involves inputting and updating patient data in the system, triaging patients for appropriate procedure room placement, obtaining necessary medical records and labs from referring offices, and communicating directly with personnel regarding patient status and readiness. The coordinator also monitors the schedule throughout the day to ensure efficient utilization of procedure rooms and holding areas, and ensures adequate staffing for all rooms.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be BLS certified.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year billing experience preferred.
• Cardiology experience and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and schedules patients.
• Inputs pertinent patient data and updates changes into the system.
• Triages patients for proper placement in procedure rooms.
• Obtains appropriate medical records and labs from referring offices.
• Communicates directly with appropriate personnel regarding patient status and readiness for procedure.
• Monitors the schedule throughout the day to ensure efficient utilization of the procedure rooms.
• Ensures maximum utilization of all holding areas.
• Ensures that all rooms are appropriately staffed throughout the day.
