About The Position

This position involves providing targeted, supplemental instruction and support to students in ELA and/or mathematics. The role includes delivering push-in or pull-out instruction for individuals or small groups using approved intervention programs. Responsibilities also involve collecting and analyzing formative assessment data, tracking student progress, and adjusting instruction accordingly. The successful candidate will meet regularly with classroom teachers, attend planning/MTSS meetings, and coordinate instructional goals. Additionally, they will update parents on student progress and participate in required district reporting. Other responsibilities may be assigned by Building Administration.

Requirements

• New York State Certification in Elementary Education 1-6 or B-6 required
• Ability to accurately assess student ability levels
• Ability to enrich the curriculum in all subject areas
• Ability to ensure that students will achieve at the highest level on State and local assessments
• Ability to work cooperatively with a grade level team and the entire staff
• Positive attitude with students and adults
• Ability to make meaningful connections with middle school-aged children
• Willingness to provide extra help
• Willingness to participate in the school community outside the classroom
