The Monmouth Vicinage Probation Division is currently seeking a candidate with excellent interpersonal, customer service, problem-solving, reasoning, written communication and technical competence skills.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any area, which includes or is supplemented by 24 credit hours in the behavioral or social sciences.
- Applicants are required to submit a photocopy of their transcript at the time of application.
- If selected, an official college or university transcript is required prior to start date.
- US citizenship is not required.
- Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
- Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting.
- All persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.

Responsibilities
- Utilizing evidence-based practices to facilitate client behavioral change
- Identifying client case management needs
- Informing clients about available services
- Coordinating services for clients
- Monitoring case flow and treatment plans
- Consulting with treatment team
- Advising judges regarding case status and case issues
- Analyzing case histories
- Conferring with team members regarding management of cases
- Preparing cases for hearing
- Interviewing clients
- Writing case notes
- Assigning cases to appropriate track
- Analyzing and screening cases in accordance with existing laws, regulations or professional practices
- Reviewing, interpreting and enforcing all court orders and completing any necessary follow-up
- Researching cases to resolve problems and determining the appropriate action
- Utilizing various reporting systems to ensure cases are being addressed
- Administering client drug screenings
- Performing field work including home, school, jail and community agency visits
- Performing related duties as assigned including late night reporting responsibilities once per week
