About The Position

The Department of Psychology at the University of Oregon seeks to establish a pool of qualified candidates interested in Pro Tem Instructor positions. Depending on departmental needs, Pro Tem Instructors may teach undergraduate courses in areas such as introductory psychology, research methods, cognition, thinking, developmental psychology, clinical psychology, or clinical practica (Oregon psychology licensure required). Positions are limited duration appointments potentially renewable for up to a total of three years, based on programmatic need, funding, and performance. Screening of applications will take place as positions become available and continue until positions are filled.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Psychology or closely related field.
  • Ability to mentor and support students.
  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to contribute to institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
  • Oregon psychology licensure (for clinical practica courses).

Nice To Haves

  • University-level teaching experience.
  • Ph.D in Psychology or a closely related field.
  • Experience with different teaching strategies and learning styles.
