About The Position

The Pro Shop Attendant will provide first-contact customer interaction including booking tee times, checking in golfers, selling merchandise, and cleaning and stocking the Pro Shop. This role is crucial for maintaining effective communication with team members, achieving sales goals, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, indoor-outdoor environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Previous experience in customer service is a must.
  • Passionate about hospitality.
  • Multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills are critical.
  • Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate professionally the creative ideas and services offered.
  • Ability to handle multiple guests and operational demands with a high degree of professionalism, operating often with time sensitive deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple and/or complex correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Employees are required to be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver’s license that has been in effect for at least three years, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the past three years.
  • All employees must adhere to all safety rules and regulations required by local, State and Federal authorities, wear the appropriate personal protective equipment necessary to perform the job in a safe manner and will follow all safety rules per the Company’s Safety Policy.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective communication with all team members to maintain a smooth, informed, safe, and consistent atmosphere within the Golf Shop.
  • Understand the Club’s sales goals and assist in achieving targets for retail revenues.
  • Assist in developing the staff schedule to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Provide exceptional customer service; professionally respond to all guest concerns.
  • Answer phones and make tee time reservations.
  • Check in players.
  • Keep the Golf Shop fully stocked, clean, and a welcome place for guests. Monitor inventory and place purchase orders.
  • Provide customer service and check out for retail sales to customers.
  • Handle cash and card transactions, ensure charges are accurate and return correct change to guests.
  • Assist in tournament operations with Head Golf Professional and Assistant Golf Professional, if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
