About The Position
Assured Healthcare Staffing has openings for PRN school nurses in Chicago - Lincoln Park areas. This position offers no weekends, great day hours, and holidays off. The role involves overseeing the emotional, mental, physical, and social health of students, providing basic health services, responding to emergencies, passing medications, and managing students with chronic health conditions and disabilities. This includes administering medication and collaborating with parents and teachers on care plans.
Requirements
- RN or LPN with an active license in Illinois is required.
- Must be able to respond to emergencies.
- Must have knowledge on diabetics and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the emotional, mental, physical and social health of students.
- Provide students with basic health services throughout the school day.
- Respond to emergencies.
- Pass medications.
- Manage students who have chronic health conditions and students with disabilities.
- Administer medication as needed to students with chronic health conditions and disabilities.
- Work with parents and teachers to create and enforce care plans for students with chronic health conditions and disabilities.
