RN/LPN School Nurse (PRN)
About The Position
Interim HealthCare is looking for an experienced school nurse to join our staffing team. This is a PRN position with a flexible schedule, allowing you to pick shifts based on availability. You will work in elementary, middle, and high schools, with shifts typically Monday-Friday during various times depending on the school. Your primary responsibility will be to provide health services to students, including treating injuries, mild to acute sicknesses, and supporting students with chronic illnesses. You will also be involved in preventive care by educating students on communicable diseases and proper hygiene. Comfort with feeding tubes, trachs, and medication administration is required. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents/guardians, and teachers are essential. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN/LPN license in Missouri.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical facility.
- CPR certification.
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Good communicator.
- Compassionate.
- Comfortable with feeding tubes, trachs, and med administration.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate with children, their parents or guardians, and teachers.
