We are currently searching for a PRN ASC Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our Mallard Creek Ambulatory Surgery Center location. 10 hours a week, normally within the hour structure 5:00am-7:30pm. The ASC Registered Nurse (RN) will exemplify our organization’s values of Quality, Teamwork, Service and Community. Demonstrated technical expertise in orthopedic peri-operative nursing and clinical care. This individual will is also be responsible for the coordination of the telephone pre-admission assessment process for patients in the ASC environment. It is the philosophy of MCSC is to create an environment that supports continuous improvement and innovation in patient and family focused care while recognizing the culture and complexities presented by the current health care environment. We believe in developing and implementing functional standards that are fundamental to providing quality healthcare. We believe carrying out these important functions requires interdisciplinary teamwork involving caregivers, physicians, and employees in MCSC.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, College or University.
  • Current License/registration by NC as a registered Nurse.
  • At least two years’ experience in either ambulatory experience required.
  • OR Circulator experience required.
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
  • Registered Nurse - National Council Licensure Examination-Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN), developed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing

Nice To Haves

  • Ambulatory experience is preferred.
  • PACU experience is required.
  • Experience in delivering excellent service to physicians and patients and participating in high-performing teams
  • The ability to function as a team member in an ASC environment through cross-training to other primary areas including but not limited to assisting with turnover, and all other aspects of day-to-day ASC operations

Responsibilities
