PRN Psychiatrist – Inpatient Psychiatry | Charleston, South Carolina
About The Position
ALLY Psychiatry is seeking a PRN Psychiatrist to provide inpatient psychiatric care at Live Oak Mental Health & Wellness in Charleston, South Carolina. This flexible PRN opportunity is ideal for a psychiatrist looking for additional clinical work, supplemental income, or a flexible schedule while providing coverage for weekends, holidays, and provider vacation time. The psychiatrist will work as part of a collaborative behavioral health team alongside mid-level psychiatric providers, providing inpatient psychiatric treatment and supporting the overall care of patients in the facility.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist (MD or DO)
- Active and unrestricted medical license applicable to South Carolina
- Inpatient psychiatry experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and medication-management skills
- Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary behavioral health environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently while partnering with other psychiatric providers
- Willingness to provide PRN weekend, holiday, and vacation coverage
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient psychiatric evaluations and treatment
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide psychiatric medication management
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment
- Participate in treatment planning and clinical decision-making
- Collaborate with mid-level psychiatric providers
- Communicate with nursing staff and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team
- Provide coverage during weekends, holidays, and psychiatrist vacations
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care
