About The Position
PRN Chaplain Role at Barnes Jewish West County Hospital Overview Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park. BJWCH has on-site clergy to provide spiritual support and guidance for patients, families and staff members.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Theology/related
- <2 years experience
- No Supervisor Experience

- 1 Unit ACPE CPE or equiv
- Board Chaplain APC,NACC,AJC
- Ordination or eligible
Responsibilities
- Provides direct spiritual care to patients and families.
- Provides consultation to other members of the care team regarding spiritual issues and resources in patient and family care and regarding ethics.
- Provides direct pastoral care to staff and physicians, as needed, complementing staff support services provided by others.
- Contributes to the field of professional spiritual care by conducting and reporting research, publishing and providing workshops at professional meetings.
