About The Position

We're building a team of dependable, experienced caregivers who are interested in picking up additional hours when opportunities become available. Whether you're a retired nurse, CNA, healthcare professional, current caregiver, nursing student, or someone with significant caregiving experience, this role offers the flexibility to work when you're available while making a meaningful impact in the lives of local seniors. This position is ideal for: Retired nurses, CNAs, medical assistants, therapists, and healthcare professionals who want occasional, meaningful work. Current caregivers looking to supplement their income with additional shifts. Nursing, CNA, PTA, OTA, social work, and healthcare students seeking hands-on experience. Experienced family caregivers who have a passion for helping seniors. Individuals looking for a flexible opportunity without a fixed schedule commitment. Our PRN (as-needed) caregivers serve as an important extension of our care team by helping cover: Last-minute caregiver call-offs, Emergency staffing needs, New client start-ups, Temporary schedule increases, Weekend coverage needs, Vacation and leave coverage. When opportunities arise, our office team utilizes a preferred "Go-To Caregiver List" and contacts qualified caregivers who have demonstrated reliability, strong client care skills, and availability. You decide whether to accept the opportunity based on your availability. Paid Weekend On-Call Opportunities: In addition to PRN shift opportunities, qualified caregivers may be selected to participate in our Weekend On-Call Program. Weekend On-Call Caregivers receive compensation for being available during designated weekend periods, receive priority consideration for open shifts, help support clients when unexpected staffing needs arise, and serve as a critical resource for ensuring continuity of care. Additional details regarding weekend on-call compensation and scheduling will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license with no serious driving violations
  • Reliable transportation available during assignments
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English at an average adult level
  • Ability to successfully complete required training and skills assessments
  • Ability to complete required health screenings
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening prior to employment
  • Proof of First Aid and CPR certification within 3 months of employment

Nice To Haves

  • One or more years of caregiving, home care, healthcare, or related experience
  • CNA certification, nursing education, healthcare coursework, or similar experience preferred but not required
  • Previous experience working independently in client homes
  • Weekend availability strongly preferred
  • Dependable and responsive when opportunities arise
  • Adaptable to new clients, homes, and situations
  • Comfortable stepping in when support is needed most
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Personal Care & Client Support: Assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene; Assistance with eating and daily living activities; Ambulation, mobility assistance, and walking support; Assisting clients to and from bed; Monitoring and supporting clients living with Alzheimer's Disease or Dementia.
  • Household Support: Light housekeeping; Laundry and linen changes; Meal planning and meal preparation; Household organization and management; Apparel selection and dressing assistance.
  • Companionship & Engagement: Meaningful conversation and companionship; Emotional support and encouragement; Promoting engagement, independence, and quality of life.
  • Transportation & Community Support: Transportation using the client's vehicle; Running errands and accompanying clients to appointments.
  • Medication Support: Medication reminders in accordance with company policies.
  • Overnight, Sleepover & Live-In Assignments (When Applicable): Preparing sleeping areas; Assisting clients during the night as needed; Reporting frequent overnight care needs to the office.
