About The Position

Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an experienced PRN Intake Assessment Counselor/Coordinator. The Assessment Counselor/Coordinator is the initial contact for patients and referral sources, providing clinical assessment and determination of ongoing clinical needs. The Counselor provides telephonic risk assessment and in-person clinical assessment. The Counselor also determines appropriate level of care by consulting with the hospital psychiatrist to determine disposition. If Patient is admitted to the hospital, the Counselor facilities the admission process and provides appropriate clinical information for ongoing treatment. The Assessment Counselor/Coordinator also conducts clinical evaluations and admissions for the Intensive Outpatient Program also referred to as “IOP”. Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. We offer partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. Requirements

• Master's Degree in related field
• 3-5 years minimum experience

Nice To Haves

• LMSW, LPC, LISAC, or RN, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic risk assessment and in-person clinical assessment.
• Determine appropriate level of care by consulting with the hospital psychiatrist.
• Facilitate the admission process for patients admitted to the hospital.
• Provide appropriate clinical information for ongoing treatment.
• Conduct clinical evaluations and admissions for the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
