ASSESSMENT INTAKE COORDINATION (MA/MSW)
About The Position
Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an experienced Intake Assessment Counselor/Coordinator. The Assessment Counselor/Coordinator is the initial contact for patients and referral sources, providing clinical assessment and determination of ongoing clinical needs. The Counselor provides telephonic risk assessment and in-person clinical assessment. The Counselor also determines appropriate level of care by consulting with the hospital psychiatrist to determine disposition. If Patient is admitted to the hospital, the Counselor facilities the admission process and provides appropriate clinical information for ongoing treatment. The Assessment Counselor/Coordinator also conducts clinical evaluations and admissions for the Intensive Outpatient Program also referred to as “IOP”. Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. We offer partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. Situated in Tucson, AZ, at the base of the Catalina Foothills, PVBH is minutes to Saguaro National Park and the University of Arizona.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in related field
- 3-5 years minimum experience
Nice To Haves
- LMSW, LPC, LISAC, or RN, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Providing clinical assessment and determination of ongoing clinical needs.
- Providing telephonic risk assessment and in-person clinical assessment.

- Facilitating the admission process and providing appropriate clinical information for ongoing treatment.
- Conducting clinical evaluations and admissions for the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
