About The Position

Ashurst Perkins Coie LLP is seeking a midlevel private investment funds associate to join its Finance, Regulatory & Investment Funds (Global) group in the New York office. The role involves private investment funds work, including fund structuring and formation, sponsor-side negotiations, investor representation, and related regulatory matters. Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience.
• Solid academic credentials.
• Working knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
• Experience in structuring and forming private equity funds, venture capital funds, or hedge funds, including drafting fund documents.
• Experience negotiating with limited partners on behalf of fund sponsors.
• Experience reviewing subscription documents.
• Experience representing private or institutional investors in investments into private investment funds.
• Experience structuring general partner and management companies.
