About The Position

As the Private Events Captain, you will orchestrate and manage all day-of logistics for executing successful private events ranging from corporate meetings to weddings to social gatherings, serving as the main point of contact to ensure client expectations are exceeded through meticulous planning, setup/breakdown, and seamless day-of coordination with clients, vendors, and team members. You will also be an avid MadTree ambassador who lives our behaviors of Connect, Grow, and Give a Fck.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • 1-2 years of prior event experience required.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Tourism, or Business or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience with event management software (TripleSeat, Prismm, Adobe InDesign) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Day-of event execution and management of private events ranging in scale from weddings to rehearsal dinners to multi-day corporate training meetings, acting as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring flawless event execution.
  • Maintain communication with all event contacts, including the kitchen team, event bar staff, and outside vendors throughout the event and act as a resource in the event of any needs, questions, or emergencies.
  • Responsible for event space setup and breakdown including, but not limited to: tables, chairs, kegerator, linens, photo booth, games, and other miscellaneous rental items.
  • Review Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) at the beginning of each shift to ensure room is set up correctly, A/V is set up, rental fees are added to POS, signage is in place, and event staff is made aware of all event details and timelines.
  • Meet with the Private Events Coordinators regularly to discuss upcoming events and the BEO’s in order to develop a full understanding of individual event expectations.
  • Communicate any areas of need, problems, and concerns from event contact(s), guests, kitchen team members, or event bar staff to the General Manager, Private Events Coordinator, and Private Event Sales Manager.
  • Spend time volunteering (paid) for MadTree Impact initiatives with excitement, encouraging your teammates to do the same.
  • Other job related duties as assigned.
