About The Position

TheKey is hiring a Private Duty Nurse to provide high-end, personalized in-home nursing care for individual clients in Fairfax County. The role offers flexible scheduling and client-specific assignments, with options that may include 8–12 hour shifts, short visits, per-diem work, or ongoing long-term cases. Nurses deliver one-on-one care in clients’ homes and receive clinical and operational support from TheKey. The position is W2 employee work, with pay starting at $42 per hour; rates vary based on client needs. Benefits and paid time off may depend on hours worked.

Requirements

• Active LPN license in good standing.
• Active CPR/BLS certification.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to provide high-standard care independently, with confidence, professionalism, and minimal supervision.
• Dependability, punctuality, discretion, respect for patient privacy, and professional etiquette.
• Comfort using basic digital tools and mobile apps for charting, scheduling, and communication.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of nursing experience (strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate one-on-one skilled nursing, including assistance with activities of daily living, vital-sign monitoring, wound care, medication management, and doctor-prescribed treatments.
• Coordinate client needs, including medical supplies, durable medical equipment, and transportation to appointments when required.
• Maintain clear, timely documentation using digital tools.
• Communicate effectively with families, physicians, and the care team.
• Provide patients and families with personalized health education and care management.
