About The Position
As a Private Client Banker in Branch Banking, you are the main point of contact for a select group of Chase’s affluent clients as well as other customers in the branch. You manage clients’ complete banking relationships across the company, using a proactive, disciplined approach to generate balance growth. You also help acquire new clients by soliciting referrals and developing internal and external sources. The role focuses on providing advice tailored to customers’ financial needs, building lasting relationships, and connecting clients with specialists when they have specialized financial needs. This position is subject to Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators and requires NMLS registration under the SAFE Act. Employment and continued employment are contingent on meeting applicable screening, registration, renewal, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Demonstrated success using a value-added, relationship-oriented approach to acquire and deepen client relationships.
- At least 1 year of Branch Banking Banker or equivalent financial services experience, with verifiable success in new client acquisition, cultivating and maintaining customer relationships, and revenue generation.
- If not currently registered, pass the Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6/7, applicable state registration (including 63 or 66 if required), and Life licenses, or successfully complete them within 180 days of starting the role.
- Compliance with Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act requirements.
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
- Register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS), or update an existing registration, as required under the SAFE Act; continued employment is contingent on compliance, including timely renewals and updates.
- Meet the applicable Loan Originator qualification requirements, including JPMC’s review of criminal conviction history, credit report, NMLS information, and other relevant information.

- Help make clients’ lives more convenient by sharing and setting up self-service options for 24/7 account access.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
- Acquire new clients by soliciting referrals and developing internal and external sources.
