About The Position

The Private Client Advisor role is focused on building and maintaining relationships with affluent clients, acting as their primary point of contact for NBH Bank. This position involves understanding the complexities of clients' financial lives and offering simple solutions, embodying the company's core values of Common Sense, Relationships, Fairness, and Simplicity®. The role requires a proactive and disciplined approach to coordinating financial needs across various business lines and support teams, while rigorously protecting client and bank information. Advisors must stay informed about economic and business trends to engage in meaningful discussions with clients and identify their needs. The position also entails achieving sales and service goals, representing the bank in community events, and fostering positive relationships with clients and colleagues. Maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and bank policies, including BSA and OFAC, is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in progressive sales management, extraordinary client service and client/prospect calling experience.
  • Must be/become registered and licensed in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) as required by the S.A.F.E. Act.
  • Compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and NBH's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results.
  • Meeting ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Applicants must have a valid driver’s license (may not be learner’s, restricted or “to and from work” license) and driving history that meets Bank’s driver standards.
  • Proficient at working with multiple computer and Microsoft Office software applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to learn various systems.
  • Handle items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Private Banking experience and exceptional Client Services experience.
  • Previous Investment Management / Estate Planning / Trust Services Experience and financial industry designations.
  • Previous sales experience in the banking and/or financial services industry.
  • Bilingual language skills.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing an entrusted banker-client relationship.
  • Coordinating assigned client financial needs through a proactive and disciplined approach that reaches across multiple lines of business and service/support teams.
  • Protecting all client and bank information, and following Client Privacy and Information Policy & Procedures for communication with clients, vendors and associates.
  • Studying and understanding broad local and national economic and business issues to engage in fluent advisory discussions with affluent clients and help determine needs.
  • Achieving specific sales and service goals on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Participating and representing NBH in various community, civic, and professional organizations.
  • Building rapport with clients and fellow associates and treating others with respect and consideration.
  • Maintaining current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures related to the position, including BSA and OFAC requirements.
