About The Position

The ASE Privacy team supports Apple’s commitment to privacy by helping develop product features, privacy techniques, and systems that preserve user privacy. The team builds large-scale privacy-preserving data collection systems used across Apple products and services. This manager leads the team responsible for enabling data collection from billions of devices worldwide while upholding Apple’s user-privacy commitments. The platform supports device telemetry, understanding customer interactions with Apple applications, and partner reporting for third-party developers and content providers.

The manager sets technical direction, manages execution, and develops engineers while balancing long-term platform investments with product teams’ immediate needs. The role requires systems thinking, collaboration across the organization, and an understanding of privacy challenges in an evolving regulatory and technical landscape. Responsibilities include developing a long-term technical roadmap, leading cross-functional initiatives, collaborating on product vision and platform strategy, coordinating requirements and timelines, and providing technical and career mentorship.

• Proven ability to collaborate and deliver results through partner teams.
• Ability to represent a team, technology, and roadmap to senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience with user privacy and regulations such as CCPA, DMA, or GDPR.
• Experience in data and platforms, with familiarity with batch and streaming technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical ideas to technical and non-technical partners.
• Proficiency in high-level languages such as Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive long-term technical roadmap, translating ambiguous business objectives into tangible milestones.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and align engineering, platform, and infrastructure teams to deliver complex, high-impact projects.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering leaders to define product vision, platform strategy, and developer experience.
• Partner with Program Management to ensure clarity across requirements, deliverables, and timelines.
• Provide technical and career mentorship to empower team members to succeed.
• Set clear goals, develop talent, and build high-performing teams.
• Represent the team, its technology, and its roadmap to senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
