About The Position

The ASE Privacy team supports Apple’s commitment to privacy as a fundamental human right by working across Apple on feature development, privacy techniques, and systems that help deliver privacy promises. The team builds large-scale privacy-preserving data collection systems for Apple products and services.

This manager leads the team responsible for enabling data collection from billions of devices worldwide while preserving user privacy. The platform supports needs including device telemetry, understanding customer interactions with Apple applications, and partner reporting for third-party developers and content providers. The manager sets technical direction, oversees execution, and develops engineers while balancing long-term platform investments with product teams’ immediate needs. The role requires systems thinking, collaboration across the organization, and an understanding of privacy challenges, including a changing regulatory and technical landscape.

• Demonstrated success developing talent, setting clear goals, and building high-performing teams.
• Experience driving product features, functional specifications, and development schedules.
• Experience developing and leading teams that build large distributed systems.
• A history of delivering results through collaboration with partner teams.
• Ability to represent a team, technology, and roadmap to senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with user privacy and regulations such as CCPA, DMA, or GDPR.
• Experience in data and platforms, with familiarity with batch and streaming technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to express technical ideas to technical and non-technical partners.
• Proficiency in high-level languages such as Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
