About The Position
The Prior Authorization and Verification Specialist ensures that payers are prepared to reimburse Griffin Hospital for scheduled services in accordance with payer-provider contracts. The specialist contacts payers to request service authorization and may collect clinical, financial, and/or demographic information from patients as needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in healthcare performing related tasks.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare insurance processes.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
