About The Position

Hearst Television seeks an experienced print and motion designer to join HTV Design, its centralized graphics department. The designer creates custom print and motion graphic projects for Hearst Television stations and should be motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects at once. The position reports to the Design Manager at HTV Design in Winter Park, Florida.

The role emphasizes motion design, including Adobe After Effects projects and toolkits, while also supporting print, digital, and brand identity work. It involves collaboration with HTV Design and local creative teams across Hearst Television markets in a hands-on, results-driven environment.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator to deliver polished motion and print projects.
• Exceptional visualization, conceptualization, and graphic design skills.
• Strong background in typography, color theory, photography, and design layout.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, including presentation skills in person and remotely via Skype.
• A reel and portfolio demonstrating knowledge of current industry trends and techniques.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

• Adobe Premiere experience.
• Cinema 4D experience.
• Understanding of print design.

Responsibilities

• Create, execute, and support shareable brand identity initiatives with HTV Design and local creative teams across Hearst Television markets.
• Develop station print collateral, including stationery and business cards.
• Create large-format and environmental graphics, vehicle wraps, and set duratrans.
• Develop sales PowerPoint templates and one-sheets.
• Create digital collateral for web, apps, and social content.
• Create commercial client logos and graphics, custom promotion elements, and other assigned projects.
• Create motion design projects, including After Effects projects and toolkits.
• Work collaboratively in a hands-on, results-driven environment.
• Build professional relationships with creative departments at Hearst Television stations.
