Overview Role: BRICK Networks seeks to hire a school principal that is a visionary and is relentlessly looking for new ways to improve student achievement. The ideal candidate needs to be able to set high expectations, be an instructional leader, provide continuous feedback to their staff, create a culture of achievement, invest in the development of their staff and find effective solutions to problems that arise. The school principalâs actions must always be aligned with BRICK's mission and core values. Requirements

Demonstrated ability to lead with a strong presence and inspire others to invest in the mission and vision of BRICK
Commitment to servant leadership, with a belief that a Principalâs success is directly tied to the success of students and staff
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams to execute complex, long-term initiatives
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Proven ability to take initiative, build systems, and operate both independently and collaboratively
Deep commitment to strengthening and leading a school at a critical stage toward sustainable growth in enrollment, academic outcomes, and long-term success
Proficiency with technology and commonly used platforms (e.g., Google Docs, Google Sheets)
New York State Principal Certification required
Willingness to travel for professional development and network-wide collaboration
Bachelorâs Degree required; Masterâs Degree required
Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience
Track record of achieving strong academic results with students
Ability to perform the physical duties of the role, including navigating classrooms and office spaces and completing administrative tasks (e.g., typing, filing, scanning)
Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
Willingness and ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to support school events, family engagement, and key school initiatives
Unwavering commitment to the academic success and personal development of all students
Authorization to work in the United States by the start date of employment

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting students and families in Buffalo, NY or similar communities preferred
Experience leading or supporting charter school operations preferred

Responsibilities

Partnering with the Director of Operations to ensure the school achieves all of its academic, cultural and operational goals
Creating and maintaining a positive school culture for students and staff that aligns to the BRICK core values
Partnering with the BRICK Networks to implement its academic, cultural, and college & success models, including the shared network curriculum, emphasis on culturally relevant instruction, and commitment to restorative practices
Leading professional development sessions using the highest leverage adult learning practices
Managing the schoolâs instructional leadership team as well as a cohort of teachers.
Developing deep mastery of the subjects and grade levels that the Principal will lead and coach
Training teachers on how to effectively internalize lessons, how to adjust those lessons to meet the needs of their students, and to plan strategic interventions to maximize student mastery and growth.
Training teachers on how to administer network assessments, how to analyze the results of those assessments, and to build action plans to maximize student mastery and growth.
Providing high-quality instructional coaching by observing classrooms, identifying key levers to help teachers improve, and then providing the support necessary to improve each teacherâs practice, including the use of real-time coaching.
Internalizing the BRICK School Leadership Guidebook to understand the networkâs approach to the Principalship
Serve as the face of the school, leading communication and engagement with families.
Collaborating with the BRICK Chief School Officer to produce foundational documents that will guide your work throughout the year, such as an Academic priority plan, a monthly map, a meeting matrix and progress monitoring tools to share progress towards Academic goals and priorities.
