About The Position

Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team is building new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at large scale in a distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Join OCI Networking to build highly scalable and customizable services offering predictable and consistent performance, isolation, and availability. Technical Program Managers (TPM) rely on their mastery of data and business to understand and anticipate business requirements, initiate programs, track progress, and manage any issues that arise during and after the program completion. As an ideal candidate you possess sufficient technical expertise to communicate business requirements in technical vernacular to engineers and help resolve business blockers. Additionally, TPMs track technical issues, effectively communicate project status, recommend changes, decide tradeoffs for competing priorities, demonstrate deliver now and iterate and deep understanding on the Cloud physical infrastructure (including Datacenter, networking and circuits). They define strategies, regularly participate in executive meetings to present their progress, and share project information with stakeholders. A successful candidate will be well versed in what it takes to drive business growth through data for a cloud organization.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, prioritizes, and successfully executes a broad portfolio of functional initiatives and programs.
  • Plans and directs schedules for multiple programs running simultaneously.
  • Partners closely with global cross-functional teams to understand and capture requirements for programs.
  • Navigates complex dependencies between cross-functional teams and organizational priorities to optimize the critical path and addresses & mitigates risks.
  • Effectively influences internal and external teams to prioritize; drives mitigation plans and ensures ownership for each item and regular follow up through to program closure while ensuring resolution of risk and issues, escalating, as necessary.
  • Provides rigorous management and analysis of overall portfolio budget (including spend and forecasted spend vs. budget, spend per program and historical trends, etc.).
  • Establishes scalable frameworks (process, tools, etc.) for the end-to-end project and manages stakeholders applying project management standards and documentation best practices.
  • Runs stand-ups and sprint planning exercises for programs owned.
  • Builds and maintains consistent reporting across numerous programs.

  • Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
