Welcome to Cotality—a place where we believe that behind every data point is a person searching for answers. We are dedicated to lifting people up, making an impact, and innovating always. Our culture is built on the belief that great work comes from being yourself and collaborating with a team that champions your success. We don't just talk about the future; we build it together. Whether we are unifying mortgage tech or predicting natural disasters, we do it with empathy and a "clients first" mindset. If you are ready to do the best work of your career in an environment that values your voice as much as your technical skills, we can't wait to meet you. As a Principal TPM, you will drive the platform roadmap for our Arraya product. You will act with a high degree of autonomy, independently evaluating complex technical requirements, challenging assumptions, and advocating for platform-level solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product/development team leadership experience, with a proven track record as a Technical Product Manager defining, prioritizing, and delivering complex features.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working in high-performing Agile/XP teams, demonstrating a deep familiarity with XP rituals, story writing, and agile software development practices.
  • Strong technical knowledge and familiarity with cloud-native platforms, platform engineering concepts, and foundational architecture layers (e.g., identity/authentication, e-commerce, billing, or shared platform services).
  • Active, practical usage of modern AI tools in your current product management workflow (e.g., using LLMs for story writing, brainstorming, and accelerating product delivery activities).
  • A strong product mindset (rather than pure project/program management) focused on customer value, user empathy, and high proactive initiative.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong preference for candidates who started their careers as a software, platform, or systems engineer before transitioning into technical product management.
  • Experience in real estate, insurance, mortgage, commercial or residential tax industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own, manage, and prioritize the technical backlog—balancing foundational capabilities (authentication/IAM, billing, e-commerce, onboarding, shared services) with technical debt and active vulnerability remediation.
  • Act as the primary technical advocate and liaison for numerous internal application and engineering teams (internal customers).
  • Deeply understand their business requirements to identify common application patterns and champion scalable, platform-level shared solutions.
  • Partner with designers, development leads, and architects to guide technical directions while actively mentoring and contributing to Cotality's product management community.
  • Shape and champion the platform's strategic transition from traditional dashboard-driven interactions toward next-generation conversational, AI-powered user experiences and AI-native application architectures.
  • Practical application of generative AI tools to streamline daily execution. This includes generating/refining user stories, brainstorming solutions, and accelerating product documentation and requirements development.

Benefits

  • Generous PTO and 11 paid holidays, plus well-being and volunteer time off.
  • Up to 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave and a baby stipend.
  • Multiple medical plan options with mental health and wellness support offerings.
  • 401(k) with company match and vesting after one year.
  • $400 annual well-being stipend and tuition assistance up to $5,250.
  • Recognition Rewards, Referral bonuses, exclusive discounts and more!
