Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a motivated and experienced Principal Systems Integration & Test Engineer to support radar capability development in San Diego, CA. Requirements

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with systems engineering, data analysis, integration, verification, validation and/or system testing.
Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, Shell scripting, Linux, and/or Unix.
Experience with hardware and/or software testing in an engineering lab environment.
Experience with networking principles.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and data acquisition systems.
Experience working with modern radar systems, radar signal processing, and real-time systems integration.
Hands-on expertise in electronic hardware configuration, software installation, and network setup for systems operating in String/HWIL facilities.
Experience with String/HWIL test equipment, RF electronic hardware, and radar systems integration and testing.
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA Security+.
Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Cisco Switch Configuration, clock synchronization (NTP/PTP), and shell scripting for integration, verification, and data analysis.
Knowledge of system security concepts and tools in Linux environments.
Familiarity with agile and DevSecOps practices, including participation in sprint reviews, PI planning, retrospectives, and experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, executing, and documenting system integration and test activities for a radar program in a laboratory environment.
Perform hands-on testing and integration of hardware and software, with a focus on systems running Linux-based operating environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues related to software, hardware, and operating systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to identify and address technical challenges.
Develop and execute detailed test plans, procedures, and reports in accordance with program requirements.
Support system-level test readiness reviews, test execution, and post-test analysis.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and program-specific processes.
Willingness to support up to 15% domestic and international travel.
