About The Position

The Trade Management Engineering (TME) group in Fidelity Wealth provides electronic trading solutions for Fidelity’s retail and institutional customer space. We are a fast-paced organization that is responsible for applications and services that support order entry, order management, and a broad range of related services such as inquiry and operational support. This is a hands-on role as an individual contributor and responsibilities include leading analysis of complex problems, gathering requirements, and working with technical leadership to build a solution plan and timeline.

Requirements

• BS or Master’s in Computer or Information Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
• 7 years of Analysis experience, with a proven track record of delivery of complex technology projects
• Strong interpersonal, relationship management, and facilitation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with business and technical team members across the organization
• Ability to read/analyze code and logs for defect/incident triage and root cause analysis is strongly desired
• Ability to understand the technology and software architecture of a complex application stack
• Ability to quickly learn, adapt and strive to meet the needs of a fast paced, constantly changing environment
• Ability to multi-task effectively while keeping track of details
• Strong understanding of financial markets and equity/option trading
• Expert knowledge and experience of taking complex features and breaking them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria
• Experience with minimum viable product definition and product backlog management
• Ability to comprehend and articulate end-to-end system workflows
• Strong contributor with a collaborative work style
• Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate impediments appropriately
• Ability to establish and maintain trusted relationships with business and technology partners
• Comfortable having trade-off conversations with business partners
• Experience working with QA and customer-facing resources on test scenarios
• Experience detecting scope changes and escalation of issues
• Effective management of project-related tasks and issues
• A keen eye for understanding the core of a problem, with the ability to adapt existing requirements for new technologies and business capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead the requirements gathering of new features and/or enhancements for the order validation component of the modern, cloud-based order management system
• Collaborate with technology and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions for business problems
• Bring curiosity and a questioning mind-set to work, asking always about the why, and the value of new features and enhancements to the platform
• Contribute to enhancing systems analysis practices across a global team
• Mentor junior systems analysts when opportunities arise
• Work on multiple projects concurrently
• Monitor documentation standards and best practices
