About The Position

Capstone Research Corporation is seeking to expand our team. Capstone Research Corporation is headquartered in Huntsville Alabama. We are a customer-oriented engineering services company providing world class research and development support across the Department of Defense (DoD): Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Missile Defense Agency (MDA). We have an immediate opening for a Principal Systems Architect who will support US Army Aviation Programs in Huntsville, AL. This will be a high visibility position for Capstone Research Corporation with a significant opportunity for growth. Salary for this position will depend on education and experience.

Requirements

BS Engineering (MS Preferred) with 20+ years of technical and project management experience.
Must possess at least 10 years of direct support to Army or MDA missile defense systems
Experience establishing and growing M&S labs at AvMC.
Experience with and in-depth knowledge of DoD operations, concepts, and technologies
Ability to grow technical efforts and take on task leadership for the Company.
Good problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to travel 6-12 trips per year with multiple destinations
Must be US Citizen

Responsibilities

Support high-visibility critical aspects of US Army and MDA IAMD programs.
Develop and execute modeling and simulation laboratory system architecture and design, M&S documentation, systems requirements, analysis, and verification via M&S.
Provide direct systems engineering support and coordinate engineering services with team members to serve the technical needs of the program.
Coordinate efforts of multiple government and industry partners
Provide periodic program reviews and technical presentations to high-ranking Government stakeholders.
Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
Develop and execute a growth strategy for IAMD identifying customer needs and revenue sources that can be leveraged with company capabilities.
Recruit, manage and lead engineering team in support of the effort.
Manage government projects (e.g., contracts, subcontracts, task orders) ensuring cost, schedule, and technical performance meet or exceed contractual requirements, and profit/loss.
