Principal System Engineering
About The Position
The Principal System Engineer will be responsible for designing and creating scalable, high-performance, and reliable system architectures and platforms. This role involves translating business needs into technical specifications, ensuring seamless integration of system components, and providing guidance to development teams. The engineer will align technical solutions with business objectives, collaborate with stakeholders, and conduct performance and reliability analysis to resolve system issues and bottlenecks. Key responsibilities include maintaining system documentation, ensuring security and compliance, and staying updated with industry trends. A significant part of the role involves developing end-to-end solutions for device management using Broadband Forum’s TR-069 and/or TR-369 protocols, including data collection, analysis, presentation, and recommendation or automation of solutions. The work requires direct knowledge of javascript, java, C, and C++, and experience with scalable cloud-native systems using AWS core services and Kubernetes for reliable container orchestration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering.
- 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in designing and creating scalable, high-performance, and reliable system architectures and platforms.
- 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience translating business needs into technical specifications and ensuring seamless integration of system components.
- 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience developing end-to-end solutions involving device management using Broadband Forum’s TR-069 and TR-369 protocols, collecting data from devices, analyzing and presenting data, and recommending or automating solutions.
- Direct knowledge of javascript, java, C, and C++.
- Experience working on scalable cloud-native systems using AWS core services and Kubernetes for reliable container orchestration.
