About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Supplier Program Management Specialist (Level 6) to join our Starliner team in either Kennedy Space Center, Florida; Houston, Texas; or Huntsville, Alabama. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position is for 1st shift. The Kennedy Space Center location requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility. This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies. Requirements

  • Technical Bachelor's, Master's or a PhD degree. (A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study)
  • More than 5 years of experience in root cause analysis and Corrective action
  • More than 5 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
  • More than 5 years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
  • More than 5 years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • Must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • More than 3 years of experience creating, interpreting and/or enforcing technical requirements
  • More than 3 years of experience working with suppliers in a technical capacity
  • More than 3 years of experience leading test campaigns
  • More than 3 years of experience briefing customers and leadership

Responsibilities

  • Establishes technical and business direction and processes to meet financial, delivery and product conformity targets
  • Develops and leads company procurement and contractual strategies for key suppliers, and programs
  • Provides technical oversight and guidance of strategic supplier plans
  • Directs the development of recovery plans
  • Establishes technical and business guidance to meet financial, delivery and product conformity targets
  • Identifies strategic work movement projects and plan elements
  • Integrates company sourcing strategies, procurement and program activities
  • Works directly with strategic customers to develop concepts and requirements for future business opportunities
