Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to support the Sentinel Program in Roy, UT. This program involves sustainment, development, production, and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. The role focuses on Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) to optimize scheduled maintenance, reduce Lifecycle Cost (LCC), and utilize predictive maintenance. This includes developing CBM+ architecture, tool development, and implementing Model-Based Reasoning (MBR) for diagnostic and prognostic capabilities, including Remaining Useful Life (RUL) calculations. The engineer will also implement and maintain a Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), analyze equipment designs, develop Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD), Maintenance Task Analyses (MTA), Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA), and identify Reliability Critical Items (RCIs). The position requires ensuring a failure reporting information system, analyzing performance reports, ensuring root cause corrective action measures meet R&M standards, proposing design changes, and presenting RAM assessments to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Collaboration with suppliers on RAM Supplier Data Requirements Lists (SDRL) and maintaining RAM tasking updates on the RAM Agile Jira Board are also key responsibilities. This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Systems Engineer level (level 3) or Sr. Principal Systems Engineer level (level 4).
