About The Position

The Principal Solution Architect, Cybersecurity serves as Arctiq's most senior technical pre-sales resource for cybersecurity, partnering closely with Client Directors and customers to identify, shape, and advance cybersecurity opportunities. This role will lead security-focused discovery and solution architecture across areas such as security operations, identity, cloud security, data protection, zero trust, network security, governance and risk, and managed security services. The successful candidate will be comfortable engaging with CISOs and other senior technology leaders, translating business and security challenges into practical, commercially viable solutions. This is a highly customer-facing role for someone who can combine technical credibility, commercial awareness, and strong communication skills to help customers solve complex security challenges and move opportunities forward.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of cybersecurity, solution architecture, consulting, or pre-sales experience, preferably within a VAR, MSSP, integrator, or technology services environment.
• Proven experience leading customer discovery, solution design, technical presentations, and complex cybersecurity sales opportunities.
• Strong knowledge across security operations, identity, cloud security, data protection, zero trust, network security, vulnerability management, and GRC.
• Experience designing solutions using leading cybersecurity technologies and partner platforms.
• Ability to engage executive and technical audiences and connect security solutions to business value, risk reduction, and ROI.
• Experience developing proposals, SOWs, RFP/RFI responses, solution architectures, and estimates.
• Understanding of professional services, managed security services, and recurring revenue models.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or vendor-specific certifications are preferred.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities at once.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Client Directors throughout the sales cycle to identify, qualify, develop, and close cybersecurity opportunities.
• Lead customer discovery sessions and workshops to understand security strategy, business priorities, technical environments, risks, compliance requirements, and desired outcomes.
• Translate customer challenges into secure, scalable, and commercially viable cybersecurity architectures and service offerings.
• Design solutions across areas including security operations, SIEM/SOAR, MDR/XDR, identity and access management, PAM, cloud security, data security, network security, zero trust, vulnerability management, application security, and governance, risk, and compliance.
• Assess customers' existing security environments, identify gaps and risks, and develop modernization roadmaps and recommendations.
• Position Arctiq's professional and managed security services as part of broader customer security strategies.
• Develop and present solution architectures, proposals, statements of work, RFP/RFI responses, executive presentations, bills of materials, and level-of-effort estimates.
• Deliver compelling technical presentations, workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and demonstrations to both technical and executive audiences.
• Clearly articulate the business value of proposed security solutions, including risk reduction, operational efficiency, resilience, compliance, and financial impact.
• Support pricing, TCO/ROI discussions, and commercial solution development in partnership with sales, services, and finance teams.
• Build trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs, security leaders, architects, engineering teams, and other customer stakeholders.
• Work with strategic technology partners and security vendors to develop joint solutions, conduct customer workshops, and support go-to-market initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with service delivery and sales throughout the deal cycle to ensure the success of Arctiq's professional and managed security services offerings, from early qualification and scoping through pricing, contracting, and handoff to delivery.
• This includes validating that proposed solutions can be delivered as scoped, aligning commercial and delivery assumptions before commitments are made, incorporating delivery feedback into future solutions, and ensuring a clean transition to delivery and managed services teams after the sale.
• Stay current on cybersecurity threats, technologies, regulations, industry trends, and emerging security architectures.
• Contribute to reference architectures, solution offerings, sales enablement materials, internal training, and Arctiq thought leadership.
• Represent Arctiq at customer events, partner meetings, webinars, executive briefings, and industry conferences.
• Maintain momentum across multiple active opportunities while ensuring a high-quality customer experience throughout the sales process.
