About The Position

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement scalable, resilient, cloud-native microservices. This role involves modernizing payment processing systems, architecting fault-tolerant microservices to replace legacy monolithic applications, and ensuring high availability and transaction integrity. You will work with cutting-edge technologies including Java 21, Spring Boot, MongoDB, NATS, Kubernetes, Generative AI (Azure OpenAI, LangChain, Python), and data engineering tools like Databricks, Azure ADF, and Delta Lake. This position offers the opportunity to lead design and development, mentor teams, and collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality, enterprise-grade solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Software Architect, Lead Developer, or in a related/similar position.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing scalable, resilient, cloud-native microservices.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience ensuring adherence to coding standards, code quality, and best practices.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience collaborating with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working with Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Open API.
  • 3 years of experience architecting and developing fault-tolerant microservices to replace legacy monolithic applications ensuring high availability, transaction integrity, and system reliability.
  • 2 years of experience designing and building data engineering pipelines and Data Lake solutions using Databricks including Spark with Scala, Azure ADF, and Delta Lake for analytical and machine learning use cases.
  • 2 years of experience using Azure OpenAI, LangChain, and Python.
  • 1 year of experience in NATS.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable, resilient, cloud-native microservices using Java 21, Spring Boot 3.x, MongoDB, NATS, and Kubernetes for modernization of payment processing systems.
  • Architect and develop fault-tolerant microservices to replace legacy monolithic applications ensuring high availability, transaction integrity, and system reliability for critical payment processing systems.
  • Develop and maintain critical payment related microservices that will process transactions of high value and huge volume.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, sprint planning, and technical reviews to design enterprise-grade solutions aligned with client requirements.
  • Develop cloud-agnostic and cross-platform services deployable on Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes environments.
  • Work on Generative AI integration using Azure OpenAI, LangChain, and Python 3 to automate transformation of legacy codebases into microservices, reducing development time and improving efficiency.
  • Design and build data engineering pipelines and Data Lake solutions using Databricks (Spark with Scala), Azure ADF, and Delta Lake for analytical and machine learning use cases.
  • Architect and develop data ingestion and transformation pipelines from diverse healthcare data sources into unified, analytics-ready structures.
  • Integrate MongoDB and BigQuery using Change Streams, GCP Pub/Sub, DataFlow, and Cloud Run to enable real-time data synchronization for e-commerce recommendations.
  • Lead design and development of workflow orchestration solutions using Apache Airflow, Kafka, and KSQL streams for large-scale retail clients.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, ensuring adherence to coding standards, code quality, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams, performing code reviews and delivering high-quality solutions under tight deadlines.
  • Perform performance optimization, exception handling, and automated alerting to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to continuously improve system scalability, reliability, and development efficiency.
