About The Position

Our client is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to support the development and sustainment of a Paperless Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and its supporting databases. The role develops software solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency, automate data collection, and support continuous improvement. The engineer designs, develops, and supports Oracle databases and web applications, creates and executes verification test plans, and works with team members and end users to address complex technical challenges. The role also supports MES database users with cost-reduction and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Four to seven years of relevant technical experience.
Experience with Java, JavaScript, ExtJS, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, HTML, and C#.
Experience working in Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, coding standards, and standard configuration management tools.
Ability to collaborate closely with technical teams and end users.

Nice To Haves

Basic understanding of manufacturing execution systems and their use in manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support Oracle databases using SQL and PL/SQL.
