About The Position

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will lead the strategic design, development, and maintenance of software systems for a healthcare SaaS platform. This hands-on technical authority designs, codes, and scales resilient AWS infrastructure and modern Agentic AI systems. The role oversees large-scale projects, drives innovation, aligns technical solutions with business goals in collaboration with executive leadership, and leads engineering work across departments. It guides projects and teams toward technical excellence through integrated, scalable, secure, well-designed solutions and automated modern engineering practices. Work may also involve existing mainframe and mid-tier applications, with training offered to develop skills in those areas. The role provides technical direction across teams and influences engineering standards, platform strategy, and architectural decisions without direct people-management authority. It works with an Agile team and cross-functional stakeholders, and supports healthcare industry standards, security expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal governance. The position is remote/home office, requires no travel, and requires workstation equipment use for up to eight hours daily.
