About The Position

GSK’s Enterprise AI team translates AI into measurable impact across functions including R&D, Medical, Commercial, Supply Chain, HR, Legal, and Finance. This senior individual-contributor role sets the strategic direction and portfolio of AI solutions for global end-to-end marketing enablement, from modular scientific communications and workflow orchestration to delivery of messages to healthcare professionals. The position identifies high-value opportunities, develops the strategy that forward-deployed teams execute, and ensures engineering resources focus on the most impactful work. The role does not manage engineers. Instead, it shapes what they build, where they focus, and how outcomes are measured. The position selects and prioritizes opportunities, assesses value, feasibility, and strategic fit, and develops the business case, framing, prototypes, and executive alignment needed to launch and scale engagements. It also defines engagement scope and success measures, supports execution, identifies reusable capabilities, designs safe human-digital workflows, and establishes a value-realization framework.

Requirements

  • 15 or more years of professional experience across some combination of pharma or life sciences, AI/ML product strategy, and product management or strategy roles in technology-led organizations.
  • Track record of taking at least one technology or AI initiative from problem framing through executive funding and into delivery.
  • Direct involvement in pharma marketing enablement, including at least one of brief development, global-to-local content adaptation, content supply chain, MLR review, channel activation, or performance measurement.
  • Hands-on work with modern AI/ML concepts, including LLMs, agentic systems, digital workers, the ML lifecycle, and data and evaluation patterns, demonstrated through prototyping.
  • Experience as an individual contributor without direct reports, influencing engineering and business teams through frameworks and documented decision criteria.
  • Background in product management or product strategy, including opportunity sizing, roadmap development, prototyping, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Experience coordinating creative asset development and content submission workflows, including MLR readiness, to enable deployment across channels.
  • Track record of translating omnichannel strategy into execution briefs for content and channel delivery teams.
  • Direct involvement in partnering with internal MLR review processes and external agency or production partners on digital program delivery.
  • Working knowledge of content lifecycle traceability processes that link derivative content to its approved source.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in forward-deployed engineering, applied AI, or an AI lab/center of excellence role at a pharma, healthcare, or comparable regulated enterprise.
  • Background in management consulting, value engineering, or corporate strategy with hands-on technology experience.
  • Experience navigating GxP, regulatory, and data-governance requirements in pharma AI deployments.
  • Experience with marketing technology platforms used in content and channel operations, such as Veeva Vault PromoMats/MedComms, Adobe Experience Manager or Workfront, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MLR review platforms, or omnichannel engagement and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

  • Identify high-value AI opportunities across end-to-end marketing enablement, including brief development, campaign strategy, global-to-local content adaptation, content supply chain, MLR review, channel activation, and performance analytics.
  • Develop and maintain a global portfolio of AI products and opportunities ranked by impact, feasibility, and time-to-value.
  • Build rigorous business cases that quantify value, including cycle time saved, decisions accelerated, revenue uplift, cost avoided, and scientific productivity gained.
  • Develop domain expertise in marketing enablement workflows to identify AI opportunities that the business has not yet articulated.
  • Maintain a living portfolio view of in-flight, queued, and de-prioritized opportunities, including the rationale for decisions.
  • Develop frameworks, success metrics, and analyses to recommend how engineering resources should be allocated when business units compete for them.
  • Use evidence to reject opportunities unlikely to deliver scalable outcomes and protect engineering focus.
  • Partner with forward-deployed, full-stack, and data engineering leads to translate ambiguous business problems into problem statements, prototypes, success metrics, and decision frameworks.
  • Shape engagements end-to-end by defining scope, success criteria, exit conditions, and scaling pathways before kickoff, and remain closely involved during execution.
  • Identify when one-off solutions should become reusable capabilities and work with engineering to make the case for platform leverage.
  • Design human-digital workflows, determining which tasks digital workers perform and where engineers or business users remain involved, with appropriate evaluation and oversight.
  • Lead executive conversations that turn broad ambitions into concrete, fundable AI engagements.
  • Build sponsor coalitions and secure executive support, data access, and change-management commitments for engineering deployments.
  • Communicate the impact of AI work to the executive leadership team and board, connecting it to patients, science, and shareholder outcomes.
  • Establish the value-realization framework used to measure impact across Enterprise AI deployments.
  • Conduct post-mortems, capture lessons learned, and incorporate them into opportunity selection and engagement design.
  • Continuously refine the investment thesis for where AI is most appropriate at GSK.
