About The Position

GSK’s Enterprise AI team translates AI capabilities into measurable impact across groups including R&D, Medical, Commercial, Supply Chain, HR, Legal, and Finance. This senior individual contributor role sets the forward-deployed strategy for a portfolio of AI solutions supporting end-to-end marketing enablement globally, from scientific communications and workflow orchestration to delivery of messages to healthcare professionals. The role identifies and prioritizes high-value opportunities, shapes what engineering teams build, and measures outcomes; it does not manage engineers. The role owns opportunity selection and portfolio decisions, including assessing value, feasibility, and strategic fit; developing business cases, prototypes, and executive alignment; and determining where engineering resources should be deployed. It partners with forward-deployed, full-stack, and data engineering leads to define engagements, success measures, human oversight, reuse opportunities, and scaling pathways. It also works with senior business and scientific leaders to secure sponsorship and communicate impact, while establishing value-realization practices and learning from post-mortems.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of professional experience across some combination of pharma/life sciences, AI/ML product strategy, and product management or strategy roles in technology-led organizations.
  • Track record of taking at least one technology or AI initiative from problem framing through executive funding and into delivery.
  • Direct involvement in pharma marketing enablement, including at least one of brief development, global-to-local content adaptation, content supply chain, MLR review, channel activation, or performance measurement.
  • Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML concepts, including LLMs, agentic systems, digital workers, the ML lifecycle, and data and evaluation patterns, demonstrated through prototyping.
  • Experience operating as an individual contributor without direct reports and influencing engineering and business teams through frameworks and documented decision criteria.
  • Background in product management or product strategy, including opportunity sizing, roadmap development, prototyping, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Experience coordinating creative asset development and content submission workflows, including MLR readiness, to enable deployment across channels.
  • Track record of translating omnichannel strategy into execution briefs for content and channel delivery teams.
  • Direct experience partnering with internal MLR review processes and external agency or production partners on digital program delivery.
  • Working knowledge of content lifecycle traceability processes linking derivative content to its approved source.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in forward-deployed engineering, applied AI, or an AI lab/center of excellence role at a pharma, healthcare, or comparable regulated enterprise.
  • Background in management consulting, value engineering, or corporate strategy combined with hands-on technology experience.
  • Experience navigating GxP, regulatory, and data-governance requirements in pharma AI deployments.
  • Experience with marketing technology platforms used in content and channel operations, such as Veeva Vault PromoMats/MedComms, Adobe Experience Manager or Workfront, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MLR review platforms, or omnichannel engagement and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, size, and prioritize AI opportunities across end-to-end marketing enablement, including brief development, campaign strategy, global-to-local content adaptation, content supply chain and MLR review, channel activation, and performance analytics.
  • Develop and maintain a global portfolio of AI products ranked by impact, feasibility, and time-to-value, including a living view of in-flight, queued, and de-prioritized opportunities and the rationale for decisions.
  • Build rigorous business cases for AI opportunities, quantifying measures such as cycle time saved, decisions accelerated, revenue uplift, cost avoided, and scientific productivity gained.
  • Develop domain expertise and pattern recognition in marketing enablement workflows to identify AI opportunities that business teams have not yet articulated.
  • Make evidence-based resource trade-offs, define success metrics and decision frameworks, recommend engineering priorities, and decline opportunities that are unlikely to produce scalable outcomes.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into clear problem statements, prototypes, success metrics, and decision frameworks in partnership with forward-deployed, full-stack, and data engineering leads.
  • Shape engagements end to end by defining scope, success criteria, exit conditions, and scaling pathways before kickoff, and remain engaged during execution.
  • Identify opportunities to turn one-off solutions into reusable capabilities and work with engineering teams to develop the case for platform leverage.
  • Design the division of work between digital workers, engineers, and business users, including appropriate evaluation and oversight.
  • Lead executive discussions that turn broad ambitions into concrete, fundable AI engagements; build sponsor coalitions and secure sponsorship, data access, and change-management commitment.
  • Communicate AI impact to executive leadership and the board, connecting work to patients, science, and shareholder outcomes.
  • Establish value-realization frameworks for measuring impact across Enterprise AI deployments.
  • Conduct post-mortems, capture lessons, and apply them to future opportunity selection and engagement design.
  • Continuously refine the investment thesis for where AI should and should not be applied at GSK.
