About The Position

The Principal Scientist will lead the molecular biology and high-throughput protein production team within the Biologics Production and Engineering group in Boston Discovery Biologics, while providing matrix oversight of automated experimental solutions for the broader organization. The role oversees a production queue that turns protein engineering and hit-identification designs into screening sets of fit-for-purpose therapeutics, and partners with the Early Biotherapeutics Characterization team to coordinate deeper characterization and developability analysis before molecules are released to project teams. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in designing and executing semi- to fully automated high-throughput approaches for biologics discovery. They will improve workflows, apply drug-discovery experience to advance pipeline programs, and help integrate computational and wet-lab approaches with state-of-the-art automation. As a people manager, the candidate will develop staff, support recruitment, and foster collaboration, accountability, scientific excellence, and inclusion.
