Principal RF Engineer

RTX•McKinney, TX
•$107,500 - $204,500•Onsite

About The Position

The Principal RF Engineer will provide technical expertise in the analysis, design, fabrication, testing, and integration of complex RF subassemblies or RF circuit card assemblies (CCAs) supporting radar and datalink applications for a tactical missile program. The role includes designing RF and digital technology to meet challenging mechanical constraints and extreme environments. The engineer will collaborate with other engineering disciplines, program leadership, and stakeholders to deliver mission-critical solutions that meet program goals and timelines. This is an onsite position based in McKinney, Texas. Periodic travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field, typically required.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in a combination of the listed areas.
  • Experience with advanced RF technologies such as receivers, analog-to-digital converters, downconverters, and frequency synthesizers.
  • Experience with RF, analog, digital, and power electronics design methodologies, as well as integration and test, simulation, and analysis of RF products.
  • Experience with any combination of signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, Xpedition Schematic/Layout Tool or equivalent, SystemVue/Genesys or equivalent, Advanced Design System (ADS) or equivalent, and High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) or equivalent.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required before start; ability to obtain an interim clearance is required before start, with ability to obtain special program access after start.
  • U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
