About The Position

Workday is seeking a Technical Reporting Consultant to join their Global Professional Services organization, focusing on the implementation of their cloud-based software within the State and Local Government industry. This role is part of the State & Local Government Technical Consulting team, which is responsible for the Data Conversion, Integration, and Reporting workstreams on Workday implementation projects. The team is driven by a passion for customer success and provides leadership and technical expertise to guide customers through their deployments in an exciting, fast-paced, and rewarding environment.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience with Workday Reporting and Prism
  • 8+ years of experience with integration development or report building
  • 8+ years of experience with technical consulting, requirements gathering, or solution design
  • 8+ years of Human Resource, Payroll, or Financials domain experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are a must, including active listening and the ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences
  • Proven learning agility, with the capacity to quickly adapt to new situations, learn from experiences, and apply knowledge to solve problems and drive innovation
  • Comprehensive product knowledge, including an in depth understanding of product features, benefits, applications, and market positioning
  • Deep technical savvy, including the ability to understand, apply, and troubleshoot technical information and systems to enhance efficiency and problem-solving

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within or with the State and Local Government industry
  • Advanced understanding of payroll reporting
  • Experience taking a leadership role within a software, system, or application implementation
  • Advanced skills to design, develop, and deploy analytic and reporting solutions for customers
  • Advanced understanding of the complete software implementation lifecycle - including report requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and move to production
  • Active Workday Implementer Certification or Workday PRO Certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead and project manage reporting workstream(s), hitting delivery dates and driving results
  • Conduct discovery sessions to develop and document a thorough understanding of customers’ reporting needs
  • Design and implement reports to address complex customer requirements
  • Assist customer in testing reporting solutions and conduct knowledge transfer sessions to ensure post-production success
  • Participate in internal initiatives and process improvement
