About The Position

Workday is seeking a Principal Reporting & Prism Consultant to join their Global Professional Services organization, focusing on implementing their cloud-based software within the State and Local Government industry. This role is dedicated to helping customers maximize the Workday platform. The State & Local Government Technical Consulting team is responsible for Data Conversion, Integration, and Reporting workstreams on Workday implementation projects. They provide leadership and technical expertise to guide customers through deployments in an exciting, fast-paced, and rewarding environment. The Technical Consultant will work closely with client project teams to design, develop, and deploy reporting and analytic solutions, possessing knowledge of core design principles, common data modeling and patterns, and project implementation methodology.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience with Workday Reporting and Prism
  • 8+ years of experience with integration development or report building
  • 8+ years of experience with technical consulting, requirements gathering, or solution design
  • 8+ years of Human Resource, Payroll, or Financials domain experience
  • 4+ years of experience with Workday Reporting and Prism
  • 6+ years of experience with integration development or report building
  • 6+ years of experience with technical consulting, requirements gathering, or solution design
  • 6+ years of Human Resource, Payroll, or Financials domain experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within or with the State and Local Government industry
  • Advanced understanding of payroll reporting
  • Experience taking a leadership role within a software, system, or application implementation
  • Advanced skills to design, develop, and deploy analytic and reporting solutions for customers
  • Advanced understanding of the complete software implementation lifecycle - including report requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and move to production
  • Active Workday Implementer Certification or Workday PRO Certification
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are a must, including active listening and the ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

  • Lead and project manage reporting workstream(s), hitting delivery dates and driving results
  • Conduct discovery sessions to develop and document a thorough understanding of customers’ reporting needs
  • Design and implement reports to address complex customer requirements
  • Assist customer in testing reporting solutions and conduct knowledge transfer sessions to ensure post-production success
  • Participate in internal initiatives and process improvement
